Easy Pumpkin Surprise Apple Pear Pie


INGREDIENTS

4 honey crisp apples
3 red bartlet pears
1/3 cup sugar
3 tsp brown sugar
Prepared pie crust
4 tablespoons pumpkin butter
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon unsalted butte

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Dice pears and apples into bite sized pieces. Heat butter in a pot, add apples, cinnamon and vanilla. While apples cook, spray pie dish with cooking spray and sprinkle with flour. Place in pie plate and bake until slightly brown then remove from oven. Cover bottom with pumpkin butter. Add apples and cover with second pie crust. Bake 40 minutes.



Notes: This is a quick and easy recipe. It is also healthier than most apple pies due to the low amount of butter and sugar. It is wonderful and we get the pears and apples from our local farmers market.
